CASA for Clermont Kids Celebrates 25 Years with CASA Day Proclamation and Community Celebration on April 29, 2026
Clermont County, Ohio (April 29, 2026) — CASA for Clermont Kids proudly announces a special CASA Day Proclamation and Community Celebration on April 29, 2026, marking 25 years of service as a nonprofit volunteer organization advocating for children in Clermont County who have experienced abuse or neglect.

For a quarter of a century, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Clermont Kids has trained and supported dedicated volunteers who serve as the voice for children navigating the child welfare system. These volunteers advocate in court and in the community to ensure every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.
As part of the 25th anniversary milestone, local officials will formally proclaim April 29, 2026, as CASA Day in Clermont County, recognizing the organization’s lasting impact and unwavering commitment to the county’s most vulnerable children.

The celebration will include:
-
An official proclamation presentation
-
Recognition of CASA volunteers past and present
-
Reflections on 25 years of advocacy and impact
-
Opportunities for community members to learn how to get involved
“Over the past 25 years, CASA for Clermont Kids has changed the trajectory of hundreds of children’s and families lives,” said Kalei Edenfield, Executive Director of CASA for Clermont Kids. “This proclamation and celebration honor not only our history, but the volunteers, partners, and supporters who make our mission possible every day.”
Since its founding in 2001, CASA for Clermont Kids has served over 1,200 children and trained over 250 community volunteers. The program saw record service numbers in 2025, with more than 45 CASAs serving over 85% of new child abuse, neglect, and dependency complaints. Each CASA volunteer is appointed by the Honorable Judge Shriver to advocate for a child’s best interests, providing critical information to the court and consistent support to the child during a time of uncertainty.

Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to attend the celebration on April 29, 2026. The day will start with a proclamation at the regularly scheduled County Commissioners meeting at 101 E. Main Street in Batavia-which begins at 10am. Immediately following the meeting, CASA will be hosting a reception at Bean and Brew from 12-1:30pm. Light refreshments and drinks provided. The event is free and open to the public but please RSVP here.

The program is also thrilled to share some exciting news: in honor of its 25th anniversary, CASA has secured a $2,500 matching donation from one of their generous donors! Every dollar given during this celebration will be matched up to $2500—doubling the impact for the children and families served. If you would like to show support for the CASA volunteers doing extraordinary work, please do so here.
